Correction

While singing Zacchaeus last night, I realized that Will has self-corrected his singing of both "Zacchaeus" and "Away in the Manger" (which we sing year-round). It's so sad! I had planned to never tell him what the real words were because his words fit so well, but he must have discovered it on his own.

Up until last night he would sing: "Zacchaeus was a wee little man...lalala...He looked up in the tree. And He said, 'Zacchaeus, don't fall down!'" but not anymore :-( Now he knows that Jesus said to come down out of the tree.

And then there's: "Away in a manger no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus lay down his sleepy head". I think Will's right. Why else would you lay down your head?

So fun but so sad that he's growing right up!

Isn't it so sad when they finally realize the cute things they say are wrong! I was devestated when Raegan learned that it was another instead of "a yudder" That was my favorite, but I guess they have to grow up. Now, Raegan is trying to correct Drew and tell him its not "sweeping booty" but sleeping beauty. :)
