The "Bottled Garden"

This was one of our science projects for this week. A terrarium. The children were very pumped--rocks and coal and dirt and a real plant! We will see if it lives. I'm NOT a gardener. In fact this is currently the only plant living in our house--everything green dies here. But we are trying!

The Flying Disc

We are always SO glad to have Daddy home! Here's their fun with the flying disc!

The Biggest Snow of Winter

Winter's not over, but so far last night has been out biggest snow of the season. By 6pm we had about 3 inches and the children went out to play for just a big.

RuthAnne seemed to want to just roll around in it for enjoyment.

A Small Review of January

Audio Books
This has been a theme here recently. We've tried them several times before, but the children are just now getting into it. It's fun to have them playing while Mama gets supper ready.
A Tiny Bit of Snow

While RuthAnne is more like me, trying to stay out of the snow, the boy is more like his Daddy. He waited all day long for Daddy to come home so that he could help him shovel the small bit of snow we got in January...

RuthAnne got in on the action the next day (when it was much warmer) and built this very small snowman--complete with a baby carrot!
Some Just Because
Here is my attempt at a sibling shot. I tried! But that little sneak at the bottom...I don't know what we might do with him!

Thank You , Mrs. Burns!!!

We love our new hats! RuthAnne even had a lady stop in the street in front of our house and admire hers. We are so appreciative! THANK YOU!!!

The Christmas Tree is UP!

We have survived another Christmas-Tree-Decoration! I hung the lights and then let the kids do all the decorating.
RuthAnne did very well spacing her ornaments. She even had a little chair so that she could get them up high. Will, did NOT do the hang them all on the same branch trick, but he DID like each one of his in a line around the tree--as seen here.

We really had a fun time!
