Lunch with the Girls

We went and enjoyed lunch today with all the girls at the Southeast Culinary and Hospitality College. Jordan and her fellow Junior Chefs cooked lunch for parents and friends. It was delicious! And RuthAnne enjoyed too.

Roll Over...Roll Over

She almost made it! We are still working on it, but it won't be long as you can see.

A Long Week

It's been a long week for both Daddy and RuthAnne. Daddy has had lots and lots of meetings so RuthAnne has been with her Mama all week. We were all glad for some Daddy-time this weekend!

Our Little Country Girl

This is RuthAnne's "She'll Be Comin' Around The Mountain" outfit...It's the first outfit that is 3 to 6 months that I have had on her. Most of the 3-6M will fit now, but we are holding off as long as possible so that we get the full benefit of our 0-3M...I took RuthAnne to the doctor this week and she was 10 pounds and 10 ounces (with clothes)! She has also mastered the art of staying up on the pillow, as you can see from the picture. The first few times we tried it she crashed to the side very abruptly, but now that she is a little weightier she is much better at propping!

Watch Me Smile!

RuthAnne has begun smiling! She has been smiling for about 2 weeks now and we find that she prefers to smile at her Daddy. As soon as he walks in the door and says something she will turn towards his voice and begin her smiling act! Now THAT is something to come home to!

Proud to be an American

Here she is all dressed up for her first holiday! Mama's little flag! Well, actually she was here on Memorial Day, but she barely made it in time and we didn't get to celebrate much then...

We had a busy holiday weekend. Robbie took off from Friday afternoon until Tuesday and we had a wonderful time. Friday we spent with Mom and Dad and RuthAnne and I got to go visit with my friend Amy. She took the pictures of RuthAnne and I. (congrats to Amy on the birth of her own Raegan! Born July 5, 2006)

Saturday we attended a birthday party (RuthAnne's first birthday party) and Sunday was church and a visit from Aunt Missy, Uncle Randy and Curt as well as Nana and GrandBob.

Monday RuthAnne stayed at Nana's while Robbie and I went on a "date"--out to eat and shopping!

Then on the 4th we had a picnic at BearTree Park with some friends. We were there most of the day and then that evening we went to Nana and GrandBob's for a cookout.

Needless to say RuthAnne was very sleepy yesterday and today...but she endured her first holiday like a real tropper and we had a nice time!
